Aaron Walton

CEO / Founder

At the Helm: The Man Who Had a Vision

Aaron doesn’t say much—he doesn’t have to. For 19+ years, he’s let his work ethic, steady leadership, and clear vision speak for themselves.

Before Midtown, Aaron worked as a certified Ford technician at a dealership—gaining the knowledge, skill, and experience that would shape the way he approached shop life.

In time, he partnered up, and together, they set out to bring something better to Kodiak: a shop where people could rely on honest work, solid repairs, and a team that stands by its word.

Along the way, Aaron also served his country—both as a part-time member of the Alaska National Guard and on active duty in the United States Marine Corps. That same discipline, focus, and calm-under-pressure attitude still guide him today.

With Midtown Since: Day One – 19+ years in the making.

Dream Ride: 1969 Ford Mustang Boss 302

Go-To Work Fuel: Coffee. Always.

Go-To Work Jam: 80s Hair Bands.

Fun Fact: Aaron doesn’t just run a shop—he runs a family. Seven kids, three grandkids, and somehow, Midtown on top of it all.

Where You’ll Find Him Off the Clock: Wherever he is, he’s still running Midtown.

Aaron’s Best Advice for Kodiak Drivers:
“When you feel like your car is falling apart, it probably is.”
(That’s your cue to call Midtown.)

Midtown exists because Aaron made it happen.
It stays standing because he never stops showing up—even when he’s not physically here all the time.

Ashley Huling

Office Manager & Senior Service Advisor

Meet Ashley — Office Manager, Master of All Trades & Midtown’s Customer Care Champion

If there’s one person at Midtown who does it all, it’s Ashley. Officially, she’s our Office Manager, but that barely scratches the surface. One minute she’s up front helping a customer, the next she’s in her office wrangling paperwork, out in the shop tracking down a part, or hopping in a car to shuttle a customer home. If something needs doing, Ashley’s already halfway there — fueled, of course, by Red Bull and a steady supply of non-chocolate candy.

Ashley’s also Midtown’s go-to for turning around a tough day — whether it’s helping a customer who’s frustrated or making sure the crew’s spirits stay high, she’s got a way of smoothing things over and keeping everyone on the same page. She might have a no-nonsense edge, but everyone here knows the truth — she’s got the biggest heart in the shop and treats the whole crew like family.

With Midtown Since: July 2023

Dream Ride: Anything paid off — the ultimate goal

Go-To Work Fuel: Red Bull and all the candy (as long as it’s not chocolate)

Work Jam: Anything mellow and the oldies — the perfect soundtrack for getting things done.

Fun Fact: Ashley has very specific vanilla ice cream rules — it’s only acceptable with M&Ms or milk, but never both. No exceptions.

Where You’ll Find Her Off the Clock: If it’s cold and gloomy, she’s on the couch with her dogs. If the sun’s out, she’s outside soaking up every second of it.

What Ashley Loves About Working at Midtown:
I get to bring my dog to work — so basically, every day is ‘Bring Your Best Friend to Work Day.’

Ashley’s Best Advice for Kodiak Drivers:
“Walk. (Kidding — kind of.) But really — maintenance matters. Take care of your vehicle now, before it takes you by surprise later.”

Next time you’re at Midtown, say hi to Ashley — if you can catch her! She’s everywhere all at once, making sure Midtown runs smoothly and Kodiak drivers (and her crew) are taken care of.

Autumn Anderson

Service Advisor

Meet Autumn — Service Advisor, Music Lover & Midtown’s Kindest Soul

If you’ve called or stopped by Midtown, chances are you’ve already experienced Autumn’s gentle kindness firsthand. Whether she’s helping you schedule your appointment, updating you on your vehicle, or answering all your questions with incredible patience, Autumn brings a soft-spoken warmth that stands out in a busy shop.

But there’s so much more to Autumn than her calm presence at the front desk. A lover of the outdoors, she’s happiest out hiking Kodiak’s trails, fueled by Red Bull, Dr. Pepper, and the perfect soundtrack of grunge, rap, and rock and roll. Combine that with her love of fully-loaded Tundras and you’ve got someone who’s the perfect blend of laid-back and adventurous — just like life on the island.

With Midtown Since: 11 months

Dream Ride: A 2020 Toyota Tundra 5.7 V8 4×4 — packed with all the mods a girl could want.

Go-To Work Fuel: A rotating lineup of Red Bull and Dr. Pepper — because why choose just one?

Shop Soundtrack: A mix of grunge, rap, and rock and roll — the louder, the better.

Fun Fact: Autumn was born in Michigan, one of the quirkiest-shaped states — but she’s fully embraced the wild beauty of Kodiak.

Where You’ll Find Her Off the Clock: Exploring trails, taking long walks, or just unwinding in nature.

What I Love About Working at Midtown:
“A good vibe and great people — what more could I ask for? Whether it’s a busy day or a calm one (rare, but it happens), the shop crew keeps it fun, and that’s what I love most.”

Autumn’s Best Advice for Kodiak Drivers:
“Maintenance is key — don’t wait! And please — be kind to the people helping you. We’re here to keep you safe and on the road!”

If you haven’t met Autumn yet, stop by the front desk and say hello — you’ll see why she’s hands-down the kindest person at Midtown. And if you’ve got a killer playlist recommendation, she’s all ears.

Rebecca Wolkoff

Service Advisor & Social Media and Marketing Manager

Meet Rebecca — One of Midtown’s Service Advisors & Marketing Magician!

If you’ve called, messaged, or stopped by Midtown lately, there’s a good chance you’ve talked to Rebecca — one of the friendly faces at the front desk, making sure your vehicle’s visit goes smoothly. But that’s just half of what she does! When she’s not scheduling appointments or updating customers.

Rebecca is also the creative force behind Midtown’s social media, graphics and all the fun specials and promotions you see online. From brainstorming ways to give back to the community, designing eye-catching graphics, and making sure customers know what’s happening at Midtown — Rebecca balances both roles to help keep the shop running smoothly and stay connected with Kodiak.

With Midtown Since: August 2024

Dream Ride: A Ford King Ranch or Lariat — year doesn’t matter, as long as it’s got that Blue Oval badge.

Go-To Work Fuel: Lotus or Red Bull — it’s anyone’s guess which one’s in her cup at any given time.

Shop Soundtrack: Anything by Treaty Oak Revival — because every day could use a little outlaw country.

Fun Fact: If Rebecca’s awake, she’s listening to music. At work, at home, on the boat — always, always, always. (She probably has a playlist for writing Facebook posts, too.)

Where You’ll Find Her Off the Clock: Out the road exploring, supporting local businesses, gaming at home with her cat Sheep, or riding co-pilot in a side-by-side with family.

What Rebecca Loves About Working at Midtown:
“The creative freedom my roles give me is amazing — I love being able to bring new ideas to life. But if I’m being honest? My favorite part might just be all the dogs people bring in. Seriously — bring your dogs.”

Rebecca’s Best Advice for Kodiak Drivers:
“Never skip a used vehicle inspection. A little upfront cost can save you thousands down the road — especially on an island.”

Next time you’re at Midtown, say hi to Rebecca — and remember, whether you’re booking your next service or scrolling past our latest Facebook post, she probably had a hand in it!

Raymond Rider

Parts Advisor

Meet Ray — Parts Advisor, Problem Solver & Midtown’s Batmobile Enthusiast

Ray might be Midtown’s Parts Advisor now, but his journey here has been anything but one-dimensional. He started as a Service Advisor, then became a Maintenance Technician, and now he’s the guy making sure the right parts get into the right hands. With experience on both the customer service and mechanical sides, Ray knows exactly what it takes to keep a vehicle running—and he puts that knowledge to work every day. And in Kodiak? That’s no easy job.

Unlike most places, we don’t have dealerships here. Midtown only has a small NAPA and a small Carquest to pull from, meaning most of our parts have to be ordered from Anchorage or even the Lower 48. That means Ray is constantly playing phone tag with dealerships in Anchorage, chasing down the right parts, and battling shipping delays. And even when the order is perfect on our end? The wrong part still shows up sometimes. But Ray? Cool, calm, and collected. When the wrong part lands on our doorstep, he works his Ray magic to get the right one here as quickly as possible—because at Midtown, waiting weeks for the right part just isn’t an option.

With Midtown Since: About 4 years, give or take some days or months

Dream Ride: The Batmobile — because why settle for anything less?

Go-To Work Fuel: Breakfast burritos and a Red Bull Kicker — the breakfast of a parts-hunting champion

Go-To Work Jam: A mix of Daft Punk and the Audio Bible — keeping the mind sharp and the soul fueled

Fun Fact: Ray loves Jesus—not in passing, but fully and unapologetically. His faith is real, and it’s part of everything he does.

Where You’ll Find Him Off the Clock: At home, recharging for the next day’s challenges.

Ray’s Best Advice for Kodiak Drivers: “Buy a Toyota.” (Short, sweet, and to the point.)

Ray is a wealth of knowledge—not just about cars, but about life. If there’s a problem, chances are he’s got a solution.
Next time you pick up parts from Midtown, say hey to Ray—he’s the reason your parts get here (eventually), and he’s probably got a solid life tip for you too. 👋

Justin Huling

Shop Foreman & ASE Master Technician

Meet Justin — Shop Foreman, Master Tech & Midtown’s Fearless Leader

If you’ve been around Midtown, you already know Justin — and if you haven’t, you’ve still felt his impact. With 18 years under his belt (basically forever in Midtown years), Justin isn’t just our Shop Foreman, he’s the calm in the chaos, the steady hand in every storm, and the quiet glue holding Midtown together.

As the leader of our Fab Five Justin works tirelessly to make sure every vehicle leaves Midtown in better condition than when it arrived. His hands touch almost every vehicle that comes through the doors — even if his name isn’t the one on your repair ticket. From diagnostics to final checks, Justin’s wealth of knowledge spans nearly every make, model, year, and mystery noise you can imagine.
When moments get tense — whether it’s a tough repair or a stressed-out customer — Justin’s calm, level-headed approach has a way of bringing things back down to earth. He’s always ready to step in with a clear head and a steady voice, making sure everyone feels heard and respected.

But don’t let his calm demeanor fool you — Justin’s also the silent jokester of the shop, known for dropping the perfect one-liner just when the team needs it most.

With Midtown Since: 18 years — part of the foundation

Dream Ride: 1966 Chevy Nova II SS — a classic for a classic

Go-To Work Fuel: Beef jerky and coffee — the essentials of a Midtown legend

Go-To Work Jam: Heavy Metal or Blues — the perfect soundtrack for problem-solving

Fun Fact: Justin’s not a musician, but he might as well be — he’s passionate about music from every genre and could probably build the perfect playlist for just about anyone.

Where You’ll Find Him Off the Clock: At home unwinding, or somewhere up on a mountain, soaking up the quiet after a week of shop life.

What I Love About Working at Midtown:
“All the fellow employees — and some of the customers.” (His words, not ours!)

Justin’s Best Advice for Kodiak Drivers:
“Take the time to get to know your mechanic. Trust them, and give them the time they need with your vehicle. Good work takes time.”

Next time you’re at Midtown, give Justin a nod (or a coffee) — and know that even if you don’t see him, his expertise, heart, and hands are working behind the scenes to keep you safe on the road. 👋

TJ Wolkoff Jr.

Journeyman Technician

Meet TJ — Mainline Technician & One of Midtown’s Fab Five

If there’s one thing about TJ, it’s that he doesn’t just show up—he puts in the work. With 5 years, 4 months under his belt, TJ has more than earned his place among Midtown’s Fab Five. He’s the kind of technician who takes on any challenge a vehicle throws his way—whether it’s a nightmare diagnostic, a full teardown, or a late-night fix to get a customer back on the road.

And when he’s not on the clock? He’s still turning wrenches. TJ is the guy who shows up on weekends to take care of his family’s cars, because for him, automotive work isn’t just a job—it’s what he loves. Five years into his career, he’s determined to grow, push himself, and keep mastering his craft. His hands are on countless vehicles at Midtown, and his work speaks for itself.

With Midtown Since: 5 years, 4 months, and a handful of days (but who’s counting?)

Dream Ride: 1968 or 1969 Dodge Charger – because some classics just can’t be beat.

Go-To Work Fuel: Breakfast burrito and water — all business, no distractions

Go-To Work Jam: Anything by Chris Stapleton — smooth, steady, and solid

Fun Fact: TJ doesn’t drink coffee. Ever. (We don’t know how he survives either.)
Where You’ll Find Him Off the Clock: If the weather’s nice, he’s either out fishing or tearing up trails in his SxS.

TJ’s Best Advice for Kodiak Drivers:
Driving your vehicle is better than letting it sit and rust. A parked car doesn’t do you any favors.

As one of Midtown’s Fab Five, TJ is a key player in the shop’s heartbeat. Whether he’s handling a repair, backing up his team, or showing up on his days off to lend a hand, he’s putting in the work.

Next time you see TJ, give him a nod—or a breakfast burrito. He’s earning it.

Elijah Gonzales

Maintenance Specialist

Meet Eli — Midtown’s Hype Man, Maintenance Muscle, and Burrito-Fueled Jokester

If you hear music echoing through the shop, clapping from the back bay, or a perfectly timed one-liner when the day needs it most—you’re probably within 10 feet of Eli.

Eli joined the Midtown crew nearly three years ago and has been keeping the energy (and the vehicles) in check ever since. As a Maintenance Technician, he’s the one knocking out the essentials—oil changes, tire rotations, inspections, and more—but what really makes Eli stand out? He’s one of the loudest, funniest, and most uplifting people in the entire building.
Need a morale boost? A laugh? A loud clap that echoes through the bays for no reason at all? That’s Eli’s specialty.

With Midtown Since: 3 years this September

Shop Snack Fuel: Mango Loco Monster and a breakfast burrito (aka his pre-lift combo)

Soundtrack of Choice: Trap, rap, and anything that gets the shop moving

Off the Clock: Catch him lifting at Last Set Gym or gaming online with the crew

Fun Fact: The man can golf. For real.

Eli’s Advice for Kodiak Drivers:
“Don’t wait ‘til your car’s yelling at you—maintenance now means fewer problems later.”
(And if you’re late for your oil change… just pretend you didn’t hear that.)

Eli is a reminder that shops don’t have to be quiet to get the job done—and honestly?
We wouldn’t want it any other way.

Dylan Vizzone

Journeyman Technician

Meet Dylan — Mainline Technician, Ford Whisperer & One of Midtown’s Fab Five

When your Ford rolls into the shop, Dylan’s probably the guy working on it — because when it comes to Fords, he speaks their language. As one of Midtown’s technicians, Dylan knows these vehicles inside and out, and he’s always ready to tackle whatever they throw at him. Dylan isn’t just certified with Ford. If you’ve ever looked above our coffee bar, you’ll see just how many certifications Dylan really has!

But Dylan’s not just any technician — he’s part of Midtown’s Fab Five, our team of techs who keep Kodiak’s vehicles ready for adventure. After driving over 4,000 miles to get here, Dylan landed at Midtown and knew he’d found his place — vehicles, fresh air, and smoked salmon? Perfect fit.

With Midtown Since: July 10, 2024

Dream Ride: He’s already living the dream — driving his 2016 Chevy Silverado, just the way he likes it

Go-To Work Fuel: Water and smoked salmon (though he rarely says no to a Red Bull)

Shop Soundtrack: Anything and everything — Dylan’s easygoing when it comes to tunes

Fun Fact: Dylan packed up and drove over 4,000 miles to land in Kodiak — and somehow, smoked salmon still made the packing list.

Where You’ll Find Him Off the Clock: In the woods or on the river, soaking up everything Kodiak’s wild side has to offer — or spending quality time with his little one and his significant other, making memories together in their new Alaskan home.

Dylan’s Best Advice for Kodiak Drivers:
The Six P’s: Prior Planning Prevents Piss Poor Performance. Whether you’re headed to the river or just across town, a little planning saves a lot of headaches.

Next time you’re at Midtown, say hi to Dylan — especially if you drive a Ford or have a piece of smoked salmon to spare.
